Remembering President Garrett

We are saddened today to hear of Cornell University President Elizabeth Garrett's passing.

2015 09 01 - BEAR Walk - Ithaca, NY (29)

At the 2015 BEAR Walk, shortly after President Garrett's inauguration, we had the great pleasure to meet her and discuss Cornell's role in Collegetown and the university's valued partnership with the Collegetown Small Business Alliance. President Garrett was incredibly positive about future collaborations, and her energetic and warm demeanor struck up an instant camaraderie. The very next day, Marty had a personal email from her expressing appreciation for a new connection. She was absolutely genuine. President Garrett will be surely missed, and we will remain truly grateful for the great impact she had during her short time in Ithaca.
