After years of creating and sharing her one-of-a-kind work with collectors and art enthusiasts around the country, local artist Lynne Taetzsch is retiring from selling her artworks—and we want to pause and celebrate the impact she has had on Uncle Marty's.
Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of helping Lynne prepare pieces for their journeys to new homes. From large canvas to framed pieces, Uncle Marty's has packaged over a hundred of Lynne's pieces for safe travel.
As Lynne put it:
“Over the many years I've been making art in Ithaca and selling it online, Uncle Marty's has been my go-to place for packing and shipping paintings on canvas up to 48" x 48" as well as paintings on paper under glass. At Uncle Marty's, their fabulous staff communicate with me throughout the process and always manage to meet a deadline. They know exactly how to protect an artwork, whether it is on canvas, paper, or under glass. When you make art that is one-of-a-kind, like I do, you want to know that it is being handled with care and sent on its way securely. You can trust the staff at Uncle Marty's to do that.”
We’re grateful for the many years Lynne chose to work with us, and even more grateful for the art she’s put into the world. Congratulations, Lynne, on your retirement from selling—your dedication, creativity, and craftsmanship have inspired so many, and it’s been an honor to support your journey in this small but important way.
From all of us at Uncle Marty’s: thank you, Lynne—and cheers to what’s next.
